Nudes, natural shades, more nudes and some pop of color… These are always my choices when it comes to eyeshadow palettes. I do have an impressive collection and this year I’ve added some iconic ones. I’ve been looking mostly for matte neutral shades, both warm and cool and some peachy/pinky shades to add some fun to the eye makeup looks. You must have spotted a few classics and while these are not launches of this year, only now they have entered in my possession after checking online a lot of review, tutorials and swatches. I have never managed to finish out a palette, only hit some pans on some amazing shades and while I think it’s quite an investment, I love the color story they tell, the combinations specials thought by their creators and the numerous possibilities when it comes to making different eye looks.

As you probably have seen, I went more for the high-end type of products, most of them from brands I already loved in the past. Some of these palettes I became completely obsessed of, some I barely use, some became my travel palettes and one has really disappointed me. So check down each product and hope you will get inspired to get one of them. What I consider to be a successful palette is to find use for as many as possible shades contained, to be pigmented, easy to blend and no to have fallout during the day and of course, not to fade.

I would call this palette “The Sailor Moon” eyeshadow palette. Each one of the shades is truly amazing and I didn’t even have this one on my wishlist. I was looking for a pink pigment that would not be looking “bubble gum”-like and to be buttery when applied as opposed to a classical pigment which is more grainy and needs a special primer for grip. I always liked Anastasia’s eyeshadows, I believe they are one of the best out there on the market and I saw this palette has 2 shimmery pinks. I gave it a try and I am so happy about it and not even planned it.
